I am Osman originally from Bangladesh and I have been living in the UK for last 15 years. I am graduated from Newcastle uni and now I work full time as Marine Surveyor which involves lots of travelling nationally and internationally. I enjoy travelling and it is the right decision for me to join CS. As this is the only place where you can meet with some locals and have some good time and good conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS reminds me those days, where you walk 3 miles to save some ££ on bus fair then you spend all your ££ on night out. No ££ left to pay taxi and start walking 🚶‍♀️to your closest friend house and find any places like couch 🛋 or floor or lining up some chair 🪑 some tables to sleep and you never sleep as everyone always have something to share their stories..... that was so much fun.... It is just a memory’s now. I believe staying with CS you will find yourself on those missing days.
Also I like meeting with locals, wants to know the culture, food and how they live etc and you can not get it if you stay in a hotel or motel. I prefer to stay with someone instead on staying hotel alone and depends on the tourist guide which most of the case are very commercial.

Started from Newcastle, UK - Quebec, Canada - San Francisco, USA - Hawaii, USA - Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand - Brisbane and Perth, Australia - Penang, Malaysia - Bangladesh - Dubai - Back to UK.

Drove 2500 km, East coast of Australia from Cairns to Sydney via Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone, Brisbane and Gold Coast.

Drove entire west coast of usa from Seattle to Los Angels.

Drove entire east coast of usa from Boston to Jacksonville.

Drove from Setubal, Portugal to Newcastle, UK.

Drove 3200 km from Argentia, Newfoundland and Labrador Canada to Montreal, then cross the border to New York.

I do have a bad habit of getting speeding ticket. Well I kept them as souvenirs. I actually collected few from different continents.
