Currently residing in the Washington DC area, but I will be running around the country for most of the year.

I am a free spirit, enjoy yoga, coffee shops, quirky people, eating out, home grown vegetables, and famers markets. I like to dress up for themed parties... (See pics above). I like art museums, art history, and random conversations about almost anything. My pop culture knowledge sucks....I don't know movies...actors, famous people....

I like cooking. My style is probably most consistent with Italy. Fairly simple but with REALLY good ingredients...and AWESOME tomatoes....though good tomatoes are hard to come by in America. I also like experimenting with different ethnic cuisines and incorporating inspiration from my travels. Wine and food pairings fascinate me.

I like adventures to far off places! I like hiking, kayaking, being in nature and giant trees. I am a keep in part shade species.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have travelled and had the oppurtinity to meet some really interesting people through couch surfing. It is a unique community that is exremely giving and loving toward complete strangers. Its a little osis in a "whats in it for me world".

Interests

I really enjoy spending time with interesting people. Humans are social creatures and sharing experiences with others I feel is a critical part of what it means to be human. I spend a lot of time doing yoga, watching the sunset and enjoying the company of others. I love to engage in stimulating conversations about politics, globalization, healthcare, science, nutrition, ect. Eastern religions, meditation practices and sufi poetry intrigue me.
