HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Now I´m in a new mission...to learn a new language, to work on my mind, my body and my soul..I finally have the opportunity to travel abroad and I´ll enjoy every second of it!
I´m working offshore, so I spend lots of time in the ocean, offline, what is not good at all..but It gives me time to think about myself and about my future. Now, what I want is to travel..
I always hosted cs friends from different parts of the world in different cities here in Brasil..Now I don´t even have a house!! I just live in the vessel and then I choose a place to visit...I´m really not complaining ! so hope to meet you all during this new phase of my life

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My brother is here since early 2000's and I always helped him in Mangaratiba, Ilha Grande's nearest place .. hosting friends,and going to the Island..than I started hosting in the cities I lived (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Luís Maranhão, Niterói, etc) but never really had the opportunity to travel. I always wondered how it would be to to know other countries...to look a different sky..different nature...always travelled in my thoughts..now it´s a reality! So hope to enjoy the other side of this community !

In the near future, I wanna know people that can help me building a sustainable and multicultural site here in Brasil...I'm open to good ideas and technics..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left my hometown with 17yo, to start building my own life..I could be an engineer, a lawyer or even a Doctor but I graduated as an Oceanographer in Rio de Janeiro State University ( what was a big taboo by the time) and luckily it started opening doors in my life...I was even called mad by "normal" students..

First I travelled a great part of the Brazillian coast (working) what itself was a big step from a 17yo-smalltown-afro-Brazilian..(since I had no money at all)..and with time I realized that the world was becoming bigger and bigger..

so I started learning as fast as possible about eveything...jumping from one job to another until I find one that really would be able to suit my needs in life.... spending time with myself, being able to travel without having to leave everything behind, being able to love myself and others..for instance..

So I finally got this opportunity to work offshore...having 14 free days every month..I'm just 14days far from anywhere now !!

In the way I made good and bad decisions that costed me time, money, friends, health...etc but meeting good people here always helped me to stay focused...helped me to know what is good in life!!

I like to think that I'm just where I am today because of all the experiences I shared with local and foreign friends...appart from all the support I had from my family..so If I have to name one awesome thing I did..I would say that:

"I wished to know the world"

Teach, Learn, Share

I don´t really know..but I´m a good oceanographer..and I have a mystical relationship with music ! I´m not a tallented player but music flows through me naturally..I´m mostly learning to play fingerstyle acoustic guitar....which I think is good..
