About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Farm in the forest, find land to put down roots.
--------
I own and operate a series of sustainably managed ginseng farms in the great state of Vermont!
Before that, I managed the organic veggie operations for a local farm and did a lot of work on birds and birding to promote conservation.

PHILOSOPHY

Seek to know your place in the world. Seek to know the world's place in you. Seek to know what you want to do and do it. Live happy and free.
---
'Trust in creation, which is made fresh daily and doesn't suffer in translation'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Any way I can. I host when I can, surf when I'm in a new area. Meet-ups, event organizing, and just plain telling everyone whose interested about the awesomeness that is couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and surfed with a lot of people . I'm working on putting together more CS meet-ups and parties, since they are super fun. I've always sought out local CSers as teachers when I'm in an unfamiliar area.

Interests

When I'm not looking for adventures I like to read, write, watch movies, do yoga and workout at the gym. I see food as the key to change - I like growing, harvesting, cooking, serving, eating food. If I care about what I eat, I care for myself. If I care about what I cook and serve, I care for others. If I care about what I grow and how I grow it, I care for the land. Food as a path to social change. What's more important than food?
