Hectic life, I will update my profile once I get the chance, I hope.

Hi!
I’m a student having the time of my life. I’ve just recently been to Australia and it was AWESOME. Now I am getting ready for my next big adventure, visiting student at Stanford University. I hope to make lots and lots of good friends, become mesmerized by California and do some serious work with the guys over at the department of geophysics.
I’m chill and laidback during the weekdays, after work that is, and during the weekends I’m more fun and adventurous. I always want to feel like I’ve earned the weekend off, so I work hard during the weekdays. I find myself constantly trying new things (activities etc) and stretching my comfort zone and boundaries. If I feel there is something I want to do but I don’t have the guts to, then I must do it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in Australia, and you should know this about me; I am scared of heights and flying. I saw a sign that said: “Skydiving” and I immediately felt a surge of adrenaline rush through my body. Just the thought off skydiving was scary to me, so at the moment I knew I had to do something about it. I signed up. Soon I was going to free fall from an altitude of 14 000 feet, strapped to a large man like a baby koala hanging on to mommy. A couple of minutes before showdown I had to say goodbye to the world in case I would face a pretty cool death. Two girls were hanging out at the pool of the hostel I was staying at, so I joined them and started chatting with them. I told them about my upcoming adventure and when it was time to leave I ended the conversation with “In case I don’t make it back you may have my food I’ve kept in the fridge, I’m Ossian; it was nice to meet you”.
Once I got up in the plane and it started climbing towards the skies, I suddenly felt like: what the hell am I doing? I had a slight anxiety attack as I realized there was no turning back now. Since my skydiving buddy, Greg, was filming me I did my best to not show any signs of fear. Suddenly a green light lit up, it was time for the people in front of me to make their journey towards the ground. A camera man climbed out on the outside of the plane like it was nothing, then the people in front of me disembarked, in an instant they were gone. I remember hearing girls screaming behind me.
A while later the airplane had reached an incomprehensibly high altitude, and again the green light lit up; it was my turn. Greg and I crawled on the floor towards the exit. I gazed down on the clouds ridiculously far below us. I couldn’t really perceive how high up we were; it felt unreal, like gazing at a beautiful painting. Then we started falling, for a short second I felt like all sights and sounds around me disappeared. All I could experience was gravity playing sweet havoc with my body, simply put, it felt amazing. I got to free fall for a good long and fun 60 seconds.
Now I know what the clouds taste like, and I like it! I'd love to do it all over again. I gave the film Greg shot of me to my dad, he had good laugh about it, and he called Greg my boyfriend. Thanks dad.
