About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Nothing specific so far. I'm sorry for not being able to host. Even if I could, I would be surprised if anyone wanted to actually visit and stay in the town where I study.
ABOUT ME
I've always had a hard time answering questions such as defining myself, especially in class. :D I can say more about who I am and what I like/don't like.
My Name is Othmane (or Osuman in Asia) and I am from Morocco. I have a master degree in Software Engineering. Currently, I am enrolled as phD student in in Korea University.
I can confidently say that I am an open minded and easy-going person. I traveled a bit around the world and met people from different countries, cultures, etc .. I never discriminate or judge others (I don't think I have any right to do so). I don't drink and I don't smoke, but I do not mind if others around me do. Also, I always read carefully hosts profiles and house rules before sending requests. I do not like sending copy-pasted requests.
I like Asia a lot, which is why I lived 1 year in Japan, where I first started couchsurfing, and that's also why I am now in Korea. I would like to visit more Asian countries in the future, but for now, I need to discover Korea in more details.
I like sports, martial arts (I have done some Aikido and Kendo). I hope that I will some day have a chance to learn some Korean martial arts as well. I also played volleyball in my university team and I like playing badminton. I like traveling, writing, learning new languages.
PHILOSOPHY
Procrastination is not always a bad thing :p (Update: it actually is when what you procrastinate is your master project)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was much more active when I was in Japan because I had my own apartment. I could back then host and show people around; even prepare breakfast when I can wake up early. I also participated as a surfer when I traveled around in Japan and when I first traveled to Korea.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had an amazing experience with couchsurfing both in Japan and Korea. Even when traveling originally alone, I would always find kind couchsurfers to show me around or hang out with me. I just love CS.
I'm looking forward to more couchsurfing experiences in Korea this year.
