I laugh a lot and rather loudly. Love to talk, love to listen, love to learn. I'm always working on challenging myself into pushing the comfortable limits and expectations I create for myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that even if there is an afterlife or another life, this life is the only chance we have with these people, these circumstances, these momentous moments. Live it well and live it fully.

To feel like a successful human being, I attempt to help others grow and be happy. For every small thing I do that touches a life positively, I've created a tiny legacy in the world.

I'm really interested in getting in contact with more surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been surfing couches since I was born through family and friends, so imagine my delight when I realized grown-ups get to do it too!

兴趣

I dig people, poetry, prose, art, sexuality and God, in every form they come in. I enjoy yoga, biking and rolling around in the sand on whatever beach I can find.

During my time in China, I want to learn to play the violin. I am sporadically working on improving my Chinese level. (It's hard to be a student when you work full time...)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

It always surprises me what one person considers life-changing and what another person considers hum-drum.

One moment that was uniquely triumphant for me was traveling all the way to the coast of Fujian by myself. Standing on the shore of the Pacific Ocean day grey skies in front of me and coarse sand beneath my feet, I felt like Marco Polo. The little kid who read fantasy novels about fabulous adventures in foreign lands would have been impressed.

I know a lot about sex, sexuality, and gender and am always interested in learning more. I have considered going into sex therapy and welcome people to talk about their issues, their hopes and their fantasies with me in a comfortable, open manner.

I am a huge feminist and get a kick out of talking critical analysis of current popular culture and tropes!

I also adore the English language and am always willing to sit down and discuss it.

Other than that, I don't generally consider myself qualified enough to teach a subject. If there is an article or a book or a song or a story I've encountered that someone else might be interested in, I try to pass it on!
