About Me

To explore 'the other' of Europe........the East!

I would describe myself as open minded individual that has a deep appreciation for the cultures of the world and the history of humanity. I enjoy being immersed in the culture of different countries and experiencing the feeling of culture shock. I appreciate this feeling for I then have the possibility to grow as a person. With the experience of new culture comes the possibility to taste the delicacies of the local cuisine. I would say that I am a food fanatic that loves to set all types of food...well at least willing to give every food a try. What better way to try food then with new people! I am a very social person that enjoys talking and getting to know all different types of people from different backgrounds. I enjoy going out to bars, cafes and clubs on the occasion and I have a secret passion for Vino which sometimes gets the best of me! All in all, I would say I am a friendly guy that enjoys experiencing what life has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to begin my travels across Europe by meeting with locals who know their city. I feel that you can experience the best from a city by sharing the experience with the locals that live there as they can offer an insiders view of the city.

I have not had any couch surfing experience but I have had plenty of flatshare and share house experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Largely a fantasy or historical fiction reader. As for music I enjoy the dance, techno, electronic, and house styles the most. I will give almost every movie a try.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have done would have to have been is walking up to the peak of Cradle Mountain in Tazmania, Australia. It was during a road trip with some friends that we decided to check out this amazing park some locals told us about and when we arrived we could see why. We decided then and there and we have to climb to the top. It was a long hike and it took about 3 hours but when we reached the peak it was such an incredible view. We could see for miles away along with the lake below us.

Teach, Learn, Share

Having lived in three different countries, I have come to really value the oppurtunity to grow by interacting with locals. You are never to late to learn something new and every place, person, city and country has something different to offer to help you achiev this. I hope to learn something new from my hosts about their lives, culture or the city they live in and by hosting me I hope I can offer the same.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Being a wine fanatic I would be happy to share my knowledge of Vino with my hosts and if your lucky even some of that tricky langauge they call Hungarian.

Countries I’ve Visited
