About Me

ABOUT ME

I live in Warsaw for 3 years now, before that I spent some time in a small village with 20 houses in Bialowieza Forest (wchih is the oldest natural forest in Europe). I think I need both - the energy of a big city and a peacefull shelter from time to time, as much as I need air, animals and marzipan to survive. I work for NGO that helps young creators (filmmakers and photographers) to develop their first artistic prijects. I am also responsible for projects that are involved into inter-religious and inter-cultural dialog. I love to dance - recently I focus on Polish and French traditional dances, not so good about it yet but enjoying it so much! I often work as a volunteer or co-organiser on film and theatre festivals. And I am a typicall freak about my dog, just can't help it.

PHILOSOPHY

Comfortable shoes and good friends is something, you need most!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was hosting couch-surfers when living with my former flat-mate. Decided to have my own oaccount here finally.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Im pretty new here as a formal member, but have experience in both: hosting and being hosted (through friends and flatmates.

Interests

I work for NGO and love to connect my private interests with my work (and that unfortunately means mixing private and work time constantly:-))
I love cinema and photography - I mostly focus on it's documnetary aspect and organise workshops on socially engaged film and photography. I am also interested in the idea of "local memory" of cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ok, this question is never easy, so: my winter playlist at the moment is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npfolGA__5w
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YPzgW3kNzE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChNW7Ey7KkM
and this:

but these are first 5 tracks..
It is even worse when it comes to choosing a specific film or book. Robert Altman and Werner Herzog are just first names, who are comming to my mind at the moment as I come back to their movies pretty often, but the list is constantly changing. Same with literature - Izet Sarajlic eating deinner with me, Dubravka Ugesic and Wieslaw Mysliwski, with Neil Gaiman drinking by the next table - this is my dream team for today. Ask me again tommorow.
