Overview
About Me
My parents work in a structured foster care system, so I actually grew up in group homes with tons of different kinds of people. We changed houses often, and the rotation of kids through each house was constant. Overall, I've moved at least 17 times and lived with hundreds of people from around 10 countries.
From these experiences, I've gained a love for diversity, life change, and the important story that every individual carries with them. I value honesty, boldness, and humility in relationships with others.
I also employ humor and joy as an everyday rule for my life. I seek to embrace beauty and celebration instead of cynicism.
I'm a Christian, which defines how I live, love, and serve the world around me. Jesus' love and respect for all people carries over into my life.
Currently living in Honduras.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and traveling to new places. I love hearing and sharing stories. I can't host yet, but I'm excited to travel (and host in the future).
Interests
I love film and music - as well as the conversations that happen when I discuss them with others who appreciate film and music in the same way.
I love spending time with people, regardless of what we're doing. Hearing and sharing stories and experiences is the key here. I seek conversation that dives below the surface. I'm drawn to people and social groups that do the same.
I also like to write, regardless of genre or purpose. It's just plain fun.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm an all-out film buff. Everything from Nolan and Scorsese to Linklater and Anderson. My weak area is classics but I'm working on it. My true favorites are the little, incredible films that get no Academy attention.
I love music also. I'll go for almost anything, but my heart is honestly in alt and indie rock. Anything honest or fun - preferably both. I go to whatever shows I can. I play guitar, ukulele, and know a few cords on piano (although only barely), and really enjoy singing.
I was a complete bookworm as a kid, and have tried to reclaim that in recent years. Mystery, science fiction, theology, memoirs, poetry, and classics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've summited several of the the highest peaks in the Rocky Mountain National Park, including the very highest - Long's Peak at 14,259ft.
