About Me
Last time I used Couchsurfing was 10 years ago in Singapore. I used to travel a lot until I started work but then I couldn't take a long time off. This meant shorter trips, or closer to home.
Now 10 years later, I'm quitting a company I've worked to build up from scratch and travelling alone for a few months in central America.
I've been missing getting deep into a culture and meeting people who I can learn from. I can't wait to meet you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used to Couchsurf tonnes back in 2006 and 2007 when I started uni. I travelled extensively in Asia but I also hosted when I was a student in Bath and later on in Bristol. I've loved this community.
Even once, I was interviewed for a university research on CS :)
My CS experience includes Hosting, Hosted, CS Community groups and inviting trusted friends to the community too. I've done all of this in China, Singapore, Cambodia and England.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I like weird genres I guess. From classical music to rock (Pink Floyd, Radiohead etc.), through to world music (Cesaria Evora, Ibeyi) to more modern things (Polo & Pan, Worakls, Daft Punk, Nicolas Jaar, Degiheugi) to other random things like 5'nizza, La Yegros, Fakear or Alela Diane
Books - this could be almost unlimited. In novels, I've loved The green king, The chess player, Alamut, 100 years of solitude etc. In other books, I've been inspired by Why we sleep, Let my people go surfing, Good to great, Principles by Ray Dalio etc.
Movies - Oh god. Where do I start? Kusturica, Jarmush, Almodovar, Wenders, Van Groeningen, Nolan, Aronofsky just to name a few great directors. Ask me when we meet :)
