CURRENT MISSION

I'm hoping to help solve all of the world's problems or, failing that, find my reading glasses.

ABOUT ME

I've been retired for a year now after 30 years in the salt mines. I've been traveling a bit- recently I spent a month in Mexico with my 19 year-old daughter and I often go down to Montreal to spend time with my girlfriend. In the summer I like to cycle, play tennis and spend as much time outdoors as possible. In winter I play squash and spend a lot of time playing shinny and working on the outdoor rink that I run for the community association and the City.

In my youth I went to East Africa for six months, Latin America for nine months and I've been around Europe a bit.

My two daughters will both be away at university this year (one in Montreal, the other in Toronto) so I'm sort of an empty-nester and so have lots of room for couchsurfers.

I spend lots of time reading and writing and I also love to follow current events and reflect upon where this planet is heading. I enjoy politics and was thinking of running in the next municipal election even though no one would ever be foolish enough to vote for me.
