About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other and to feel.

ABOUT ME

My partner and I are currently on a cross country adventure across the US. Our blog is goodbadandmuddy.com. We have quit our 9-5 jobs to travel and start a web design business (check it out at otterlydesigns.com) It's still early days, but I've never been so busy and happy in my life.

In my quarter century life I have managed to visit over twenty countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, South and North America, and I have no intention of stopping there. After a cross-country road trip we're planning on hitting Europe for Camino and South East Asia for peace of mind because we only live once.

In my travels I try my best to avoid tourist traps and prefer to get to know the place and the culture through the eyes of local people which is why Couchsurfing is such a great community for me. 'Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever so on the road' (Jack Kerouac) and I can't wait to meet more exciting people along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

"This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness."
Dalai Lama

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Adaptations of Victorian novels, Matrix, Life is Beautiful, Indiana Jones, Pianist, Deja Vu, Butterfly Effect, The Village, Finding Neverland, Aeon Flux, Lars and the Real Girl, Amelie... whatever is in my Netflix cue

Music:
American Authors, AWOLNation, Ingrid Michaelson, Tegan and Sarah, Angel Haze, Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Marianas Trench... many more

Love reading, love diving into the book and losing track of the hours and the sunsets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In summer, 2007, i went to Kenya, Africa, to work in orphanage in the village near Eldoret. It was a mind blowing experience that still keeps changing and influencing my life.
