Overview
About Me
Dutch psychology student working as a tour guide in Amsterdam! I have a big interest to understand people and make them smile and wonder.
If I mind all these Dutch stereotypes? Well I'm the guy where all the stereotypes are based on! Tall, blonde hair and blue eyes, own multiple pairs of wooden shoes and I practically came into this earth riding a bike. I grew up in an old farm between two cow fields in a real Dutch “Polder” surrounded by “dikes”.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have had a load of people on my tours that used couch-surfing and after hosting a few of them it made me very enthusiastic about trying it myself! I believe human connection is powerful! One should try to connect with as many different people as possible. I noticed in my life that different people can make very valuable, unexpected contributions to your life!
Interests
I am a huge nerd! I study psychology and information science, I freelance a little as a nightclub photographer and I work as a Amsterdam guide providing tourists with the Alternative Amsterdam tour and my “Amazing Stroopwafel Quiz”.
I'm into personal development, new technological developments, psychology and finding ways to understand each other, also a big fan of evolution of consciousness: Spiral dynamics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- I once baked a birthday cake with my parents and brought it to a birthday party of a friend where everybody went completely crazy on it. Ohh small detail: It was an actual cannabis cake. I love my very dutch parents :)
