About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Challenge the dominant ideology

ABOUT ME

I wouldn't be very original if I said I hate describing myself - since most of us do.

Happy tanned hyper-active 27 years old young female who likes life and the surprises it offers. Easy-going and surprising (apparently). My laugh is loud, my hair's messy and my eyes are big. Chocolate and sports addict - too reckless/foolhardy at times which leads to adventurous choices of activities that often result in bruises or scars. My favourite sports are the ones we make up. The dimple on my right cheek is deeper than the one on my left cheek. I shower naked - most of the time. When I don't, it's because I enjoy showering with clothes on once a while - it's like a 2 for 1: a shower and laundry. My favourite is to shower with socks on, have you ever tried it? You should. That is mostly what you need to know about me.

PHILOSOPHY

Hakuna matata.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Please read the "My Home" section before sending a couch request.

I love couchsurfing - humans interacting with other humans. Simple eh? I think it's the best way to travel, you get to meet friendly locals that teach you about their country and culture rather than spending time in hostels with people with whom you always end up having the same conversations with. I'd rather go to a local underground pub than to the big bar that is mentioned in the Lonely Planet guide. I love the idea of hosting and surfing. I secretly believe in karma - everything in life is equal in the end. Right now I am couchsurfing in Australia with my bf and I'm very thankful for the generosity of the people who hosted us. When we will be back home - it'll be our turn to contribute to the community and make other people's travels more memorable. When we couchsurf, we try to be as most respectful of our hosts' home as possible. We cook meals from back home and clean after ourselves. When you couchsurf, you shouldn't be a hassle for your host - they are hosting you, be respectful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in London and then for a few months in Australia. Met some amazing people that became and will stay friends forever!

"Meet as strangers, leave as friend."

Interests

I like:
food (really), music, sports, hitchhiking, trees that grow alone out of no where, food, friends, speaking with strangers (especially in Spanish when I'm drunk), family, photo-bombing random people (especially girls taking pictures in the mirror), food, dumpster diving, never ending discussion, cheesecake, food, cloud shadows on mountains, running, surprising my friends with unexpected presents for no reason, bananas, coffee, music, snowboarding, surfing, soccer, basketball, hiking, health & fitness, animals, kids (not in a pedophile way), food, walking and getting lost, good movies (and bad ones), wake-boarding (although I've only done it twice), food, speaking with people who don't agree with me, eating food, travelling, learning new languages. I recently started liking kiwis and capsicums (which now is my favorite veggie).

I don't like:
superficial people (although sometimes they are so pathetic they make me happy to be myself), hypocrisy, narrow-minded people, donuts, cucumbers, forgetting my earphones home, biting my nails so much it hurts, slow wi-fi hotspots, overpriced stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too much. Movies: Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, Requiem for a Dream, Cafe de Flore, Across the Universe, Into the Wild, seriously I can't think anymore it's too hot and the beach is calling me. I will answer this question another time, baby.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That is a tricky questions - everything amazes me but here's a list of some cool stuff I've done: Rode a camel in Morocco when I was a child, ate dog meat in Vietnam (it was actually good), ate snake in Vietnam, ate a snake heart that was still beating right after it was killed, ate a spider in Cambodia, fed sharks in Fiji, almost died in a water-slide in Vang Vieng (Laos), randomly bumped into one of my friends in Paris while on vacation (seriously, what are the odds), held baby lions in Thailand, chilled with tigers in Thailand, almost died in a boat trip in Cambodia, scuba dived in the Great Barrier Reef.

Simple everyday things still amaze me and make me happy. Baby hands amaze me. So tiny and cute. Wild life amazes me. Waves amaze me. What the hell man? Water moving? Ah, Planet Earth...you amaze me the most. You surprise me everyday with your weird dynamics.

Other things in life make me happy - kind strangers, not missing the bus, finding money in my pockets, my boyfriend, my friends.
