Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live, learn, and maximize my potential in life!
ABOUT ME
I'm an open minded and outgoing person. I love learning new things about people and different cultures! I've lived in several African countries and a handful of U.S. states. I'm looking forward to finishing Undergrad in the Fall and getting on to exciting work.
PHILOSOPHY
My goal is to be as well rounded an individual as I can be. Respecting others is at the top of the list! The Golden Rule is so simple yet rarely followed. I always look for an opportunity to learn and try new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couch surfed in San Francisco in 2009. I lived/studied abroad in Egypt from August till February 2011. This is an easy way to meet people from all over the world it's a terrific learning experience. I will be interning Washington D.C. for the summer and hope to stay with a couch surfer!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch Surfed for the first time in 2009 in San Fancisco, CA.
Interests
I'm a restless soul. I just find many things interesting because there's always a cool story or lesson I can take away from an experience. I love learning and will never pass up an opportunity to experience something constructive and fun. I also like reading, hanging out with friends, and getting outside and hiking, biking, or running. I can't wait to meet people and hear about some awesome experiences:)

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: The Sound of Music, and My Fair Lady (Classics); Family Guy the Movie, any type of comedy is cool with me.
Music: I'm mostly into Classic Rock but I own a little of everything.
Books: The Harry Potter Series, Blink, The Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz; Five people you meet in heaven; Animal Farm; The Souls of Black Folk; anything by David Baldacci; and generally whatever I get my hands on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i experienced the Jasmin Revolution in Egypt! I worked with AmeriCorps three years ago in Nevada which was amazing. Since then I've lived in Tunisia and Egypt studying Arabic. Now I'm off to the Nation's Capital for a summer internship!
Teach, Learn, Share
A wise teacher of mine once said that "all the questions in the universe can be answered in a blade of grass". Essentially life and the universe can seem very complicated but in a sense it is all very simple. When things start to get too crazy I try to remember that we as individuals make life complicated. Life truly is too short, fragile and awesome not to have a positive attitude and enjoy the beauty that can always be found in any situation.
