About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel around someware thats about as far from Australian culture as possable.
ABOUT ME
Well.... Um, I'm from Australia.
My parents own a farm in a small country town in Coolongolook, New South Wales, Australia.
I grew up there from 10 until I was 17, when I moved 35Km to the local beach side town of Forster-Tuncurry. Which is located about 350Km North of Sydney on the east coast.
I lived there with my girl friend for three years working and training in commercial kitchens cooking for people in a French, Mexican and Chinese restaurant. Then realizing that cooking was a hot, painfull job I moved to "front of house" were I started serving at a bar in a Bowling Club.
After 12 months of that I moved to Jindabyne, Australia's snow capital, were I worked initaly cleaning apartments as it was a easy job to get and allowed the most 'on' snow time.
When the season ended I moved back to the farm were I received a call from a Accor, Novotel ( www.lakecrackenback.com.au/ )resort asking if I wanted a job over summer.
I went back to Jindabyne and started a job in the resorts 4.5* restaurant. I progressed up the ladder becoming the restaurant supervisor in a few months.
Towards the coming snow season I was asked if I would look after the bar temporarily as the existing manager was going on holiday. I jumped in and was soon up to my waist in sh*t that the manager had avoided or just left when he went on holiday. After sorting the bar out and getting it to work more efficiently the resort asked me if I would like the bar managers job, I said yes and they told the existing bar manager not to come back after his holiday. So there I was suddenly managing a bar and supervising the restaurant.
During this time I was also 'Campsite managing' for outdoor camping expeditions that the resort took during the summer months. The photo of the mountains was the view from the tent were I cooked and prepared the food for the campers. Beat that view from your office!
PHILOSOPHY
Take everything as it comes.
Don't make waves, surf them.
Everything can always get better.
Open your eyes and take more in.
Always debate don't argue :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will share my home, couch, floor or spare beds with friendly travelers. I have before, but I met them on the street not through a organization.
I can cook many different types of food and will if you let me, but I would like to try the local cuisine in less English speaking countries. I would like to sit back and learn your style of cooking as I have done before so I can take your style of food with me.
I'm hard working and logically minded so if you need I can fix sticking doors, dig holes, anything that might make my stay with you more of an even transaction and less of me taking your hospitality.
I hope to stay with you soon

Music, Movies, and Books
Books? Anything that catches my eye, favorite that everyone should read, 'Shantaram' Sorry the review.
Shantaram is the uncompromising story of a fugitive - based on Roberts' experience - on the run in Bombay, India; a man who sets up a free clinic in a slum, works for the biggest Don in the Bombay Mafia, works as a money launderer and street soldier, heads straight into Russian guns in the mountains of Afghanistan, and earns the name insightfully given him by his best friend's mother - "Shantaram", meaning "man of peace
Movies don't compare as most have sequels that wreck a good original film.
Any music ,German (can't understand but I like) Aussie Hip Hop-look some up. Anything that has a good tune, not necessarily lyrics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Floating past on a barge, four storys of pre build resort being transported to near the Canadian Alaskin boarder.
Being able to be paid to work with that view.
