Overview
About Me
Hi! I am Ovidiu, from Romania - Transsylvania to be more specific. I grew up in a village close to a rather small town and for this reason I love to have green around me - as in leaves, trees, grass, nature mainly - and be in quiet places. Now I live in a large city - by Romanian standards - that I love for its culture and social life.
I consider, and was told, that humor is my main method of approaching life. I usually need movement and physical activity in order to feel good I get restless otherwise. As such anything that implies movement, from a stroll in the park to hiking, is welcomed with enthusiasm. That is not to say that I don't like to sit at a beer or coffe and have a nice chat - human connection is a wonderful thing and being able to be truly open and sincere with another adds to it's value, and it's also fun.
I always embrace the opportunity to meet new people each with its own view of life, ideas and experiences. I enjoy .
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After I started traveling, I realized that the idea of being a tourist kind of frustrates me and honestly I usually find it tiresome. It's like somewhat walking in front of a showcase without being able to truly interact with anything. (But maybe I am doing it wrong who knows?)
This is why whenever I get the chance I prefer to get introduced or meet someone from the particular place I'm visiting and just enjoy what - and how - people that leave there enjoy. I find this way of traveling much more fulfilling because I am able to experience life in a new way, I find new friends, and feel that I also contribute to something.
