I've just graduated university in England and i'm looking forward to having a gap year before figuring out what the hell to do with life. I've always been pretty active and involved in outdoor/extreme sports from childhood and i'm now trying to discover the natural world a bit more through sports like climbing, hiking, mountain biking etc.
Over the last year i've really been trying to get outside of my comfort zone (trying new foods, going new places, taking on new jobs etc) and its been immensely rewarding so far.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to meet some new people in lots of different places. Everyone has something interesting to share, whether its a favorite recipe or a cool sport or a place nearby that they love etc. I hope to have some awesome and inspiring experiences that hopefully i can share with others in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

chilled house is the background music i go for but i will listen to almost anything and enjoy it. I've mostly been listening to podcasts recently so my music knowledge is pretty dull at the moment but i am looking forward to rediscovering some good stuff.
In general i'm a fan of sci-fi and fantasy so films like lord of the rings and some of the superhero blockbusters are pretty good for me. I also have a very limited background in martial arts like judo and kickboxing so action films like john wick are always a win.
I used to read a lot of fantasy books when was younger on holidays but i haven't done too much reading of anything other than textbooks while at uni. However, i am in the midst of reading 'Sapians: a brief history of mankind" and i'm absolutely enthralled by it. Other non-fiction books like "the world without us", "utopia for realists" and "how the mind works" are on the list too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got a bit of experience with most physical sports so if you have a project you want to tackle that i could help with, i'd be more than willing. I'll be travelling with a harness, helmet, climbing shoes and a rack of about 10 quickdraws so if you want to get into climbing or are already involved but want a belayer, i can help you out. I can lead sport climbs up to 6b/6c level and i've got a few multi-pitches under my belt so if you're looking to climb that sort of level or lower, i'd love to lend a hand.
Aside from that, i'm looking to do some cool stuff so if there is anything you love doing that you want to share with others, or something new that you've never plucked up the courage to try, give me a shout and i'll happily help out.
