Hey, I’m Owen! I’m Bermudian-American and have lived most of my life in San Francisco, CA. However, for the next couple years I’ll be based in Boston where I study. I first began solo traveling at 17 and it’s become a core part of my life, pretty much every break I have from work/university I’m on a trip somewhere. I’ve found that the best way to travel is through couchsurfing because connecting with local people while traveling presents you with so many unique opportunities to understand the places you’re traveling to better and make friends along the way. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played football for my country’s national team 🇧🇲(u23), lived with an indigenous tribe in Colombia, hitchhiked across the former soviet republics, celebrated Shravan Somwar in Varanasi, experienced the reality of life in conflict zones such as Afghanistan, Ukraine and Myanmar, visited all seven continents!

I love foreign languages, culture, history, geopolitics etc, it’s always super interesting for me to learn about the places I’m visiting from local’s perspectives. I would also love to learn how to cook the national (or most popular) dish of your country if possible.
