ABOUT ME

I love trying new things and developing genuine connections with new people - part of why I'm signing up for Couchsurfing.

I've been told that I'm friendly and easy to get along with! I once co-authored a blog where I went to a random location and met a complete stranger to get over the awkward, but just ended up thoroughly embarrassing myself once a week instead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to make more of an effort to get to know locals when I'm abroad, to hear their stories and what their experiences living in that place is like, and to experience the genuine feel of a place as opposed to just the superficial touristic facade.

Interests

While traveling I'm very into hiking and trying cultural foods. There's so much uniqueness in every new place, so much wonder to explore! I love discovering things that can't be captured in pictures since that means I had to truly experience them in person.

When I'm more settled down I like to cook (I'm bad at following recipes but enjoy making different cuisines), grab a beer with friends and/or do something active (racquet sports, swim, dance, party).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Threw someone off a bridge (special time of bungee jumping), swam with sea turtles, jumped down a waterfall, pillow fought with thousands of other people

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught people to code as part of a nonprofit and am willing to share any other skill I have worth teaching. As for learning, I am open to learn anything that I don't know!
