I grew up in the green mountains of Central Vermont and after 4 years in music school and 2 years making a living as a musician in New York I opted to take a break from a lifestyle that felt antithetical to my rural Vermont upbringing. After moving back to the Green Mountains I've split my time between performing music, reconnecting with old friends and feeding my new found appreciation for the outdoors.

At the ripe age of 27, I'm frequently beset by the anxiety producing realization that I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. While my natural inclination is to seek out the comfort and convenience of steady routine and a familiar environment, I know from experience that the most meaningful, growth inducing moments in my life have come from pushing out of my comfort zone by exploring new places and meeting new people. Couch Surfing seems to be a perfect marriage of those two mind altering pastimes.
