About Me

CURRENT MISSION
To learn about nutrition, health and wellness. Making some lifestyle changes and I'm excited about the journey that is yet to come.

ABOUT ME
After living the life of a snowbird for the last 10 years as a seasonal worker in the hospitality/tourism industry, I have had blessings to live and work in some of the most beautiful places in the United States. Doing so, I was afforded the opportunity to make friends from around the world while enjoying gorgeous scenery and wonderful weather. I grew up in Tucson, AZ and started leaving for the summer in 2007. Since then I have traversed the country countless times working in various national parks and resort towns. I am happy to say that I have finally found my happy place here in Montana, and have been living here year-round since May 2019. I work in Glacier National Park in the summer and at Whitefish Mountain Resort in the winter. Seasonal life and work, but without having to move. I LOVE IT!

PHILOSOPHY

It's your life, do what you want. Just make responsible decisions. It hasn't failed me so far.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I surf I offer an open schedule to my hosts for whatever they have in mind. I'm totally fine with hanging out with a few drinks and chatting it up, or going out and having an adventure. I can go out and experience things on my own, but much prefer the VIP treatment from locals. When I host I offer a safe and fun environment, expert tour guiding, and generally a really awesome time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2010 I took the summer off to travel around the west coast and was fortunate enough to have my first experiences surfing with some great hosts in Portland, OR. It opened my eyes to how quickly strangers can become friends and how honest and trusting people can be. Since then I've hosted a few awesome people in Arizona, Maine and Montana and gave them the VIP treatment for sure, and have met up with surfers all over the country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have been enjoying music without lyrics lately, it makes me more productive. I'll listen to most music but haven't really been getting into a lot of new music these days. I like watching documentaries and movies about space, and I don't read nearly enough books, but have been getting into the personal development section.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived in the desert, on an island, on a volcano and on a glacial lake! I grew up next to the Saguaro National Park in Arizona, with giant cacti, rattle-snakes and scorpions...(oh yeah, hellish heat too). I used to work winter at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, which is a world renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden. I have worked a summer in Yellowstone National Park, living next to the Old Faithful geyser, bison, and waterfalls. I have spent some time in the Tetons and 2.5 summers in Bar Harbor, Maine on Mt Desert Island, near Acadia National Park and now I'm back near my favorite, Glacier National Park, Montana . So, I have been fortunate enough to see some pretty beautiful and unique places. Laying on the ground at night next to Old Faithful, feeling the warmth from the volcano beneath me, and watching the stars was pretty awesome. Watching the sun and the moon rise together during a total solar eclipse at dawn was rad as well. I can't even begin to list the countless scenic landscapes and wildlife my eyes have gazed upon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share all the information I have about Glacier, even if I am not able to host you. I can teach you how to kayak (I even have an extra one). I would love to learn about new cultures and languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer you a cozy tent and air mattress to use to sleep in my yard. It creates a private spot for you and gives me privacy as well. I have floatation devices for the river or lakes you can use and don't mind showing you some cool spots if I have the time.
