About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"Keep close to nature's heart... and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean. - John Muir
ABOUT ME
I'm a science teacher living life in Brooklyn. I'm pretty easy going and love to hear about others and their experiences. Good beer and good conversation and trees are my favorite things.
PHILOSOPHY
The problem, often not discovered until late in life, is that when you look for things in life like love, meaning, motivation, it implies they are sitting behind a tree or under a rock. The most successful people in life recognize, that in life they create their own love, they manufacture their own meaning, they generate their own motivation. For me, I am driven by two main philosophies, know more today about the world than I knew yesterday. And lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you. - Neil DeGrasse Tyson

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed in Lake Tahoe and in Seattle and both were great experiences, I've met other surfers through a friend and they were great, I saw how one connection could lead to another... and another!
Interests
I can talk about education and social justice in the USA forever so if you want to talk about about then lets do it! Haha but if not I'm really into seeing live music, I'm a science nerd, I want to hear about places you've traveled and your experience there, I love food and like cooking too. I love sports, biking, being active and I'm an avid hiker and tent camper. Trees fascinate me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got a bike business to donate 20 unbuilt bikes to my school and I had my 6th grade science students build the bikes. Super fun, I'm not sure if it was amazing but those 6th graders will remember the science class they built bikes in.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: How to make great Scrambled eggs ever (hint: you need sriracha), how to do a rainbow move in soccer, things about science!
