I'm a Swedish speaking Finn (who doesn't know Finnish) dreaming about traveling throughout my life. The problem is this isn't my only dream. For now I'm still staying put getting a degree and saving money for traveling to interesting destinations - Middle East and Central Asia is hot right now.

UPDATE 2014! Degree check, saving money check, central asia check. Currently living somewhere around south east asia with my next goal: Middle East.

UPDATE 2015! Middle East, check. Currently really happy how I'm able to fulfill all these goals! At the moment I'm traveling around South America, soon settling down for a few months to work and learn Spanish.

UPDATE 2016! Walked from Canada to Mexico with a 3.8 kg (8.4 lbs) backpack over 103 days. Learning Spanish didn't really work out even if I'm still living in South America.

UPDATE 2017! Hiked up to the furthest point from the center of the earth. Still don't know any Spanish even if I've lived in South America for a year and a half now. Next goal, Antarctica!

I'm here to learn about the places I visit, and all the things guidebooks can't tell you. Some of my best friends, I've also met through CS. I know there are still more out there.

Music, Movies, and Books

A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kubrick, the best flick ever made! Besides the obvious Stanley Kubrick movies I particularly enjoy Lars von Trier, Akira Kurosawa, and Coen brothers. I'm one of those who watch and enjoy pretty much everything though (except for gore).

When it comes to music I don't really know what I like. I don't listen that much to music and when I do I use some "similarity"-algorithm on grooveshark. Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Marilyn Manson, RATM, Pink Floyd are some I know that I like.

I don't read as much as I'd like to, that's something I have to work on. The ones that stand out are Atlas Shrugged, The Count of Monte Cristo and Crime and Punishment.

I can teach you some basics about photography (I'm no expert, but I know the theory), and err... programming! Oh and how to travel light, and maybe some places to go in Asia.

I'm always interested in learning about cultures, local food, and travel destinations. Currently I'm trying to learn some Spanish as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not a confident cook, and I rarely cook, but I can make some good mashed potatoes and a really unhealthy mudcake! I also worked as a dishwasher for almost a year haha.
