Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
putting one foot in front of the other and keep on going!
ABOUT ME
Dark hair, green eyes (in case we have to meet and you want to know what I look like)... some people say I am full of energy, once was called the Atomic Ant, maybe lost some of that energy with age... ;)
I am a complicated person (ups and downs, but smiling most of the time), like anybody else around. I like to talk and to meet people. I am lucky to work doing the things I like... even though studying shit (real cow shit) maybe does not seem so fascinating!
PHILOSOPHY
What about discuss it over a coffee or a glass of wine
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in a huge apartment for somebody as small as I. And as a part of my mission on this planet, I generally like to help people... somebody told me about the CouchSurfing and I thought it would be a nice thing to try!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Now I have experienced both hosting and being hosted, I have to admit that CS is indeed one of the best thing I have "lived" till now! It is interesting to see how it is easy to share things and even just a little bit of your time with somebody when this one is open to the world as you feel... CS is great!

Music, Movies, and Books
Gosh, how much space do I have?
Music: really wide taste, not really into punk, metal and hard stuff. I have been playing guitar for ages, I like classic music a lot (Pachelbel's canon is a masterpiece), but listen to really different genres.
I like latin music (love to dance salsa and tango... now tango a lot!), indie, rock, a little bit of jazz, love oldies, music from the '40 and '50, post rock.
Movies: the Matrix, the Lord of the Ring, Juno, A Knight's Tale, In Brugge, easy going movies, want to relax and not to get too philosophical... Hated Blair Witch Project! Have a nice DVD collection, just in case for weather reasons an evening at home is required...
Books: 100 years of solitude, science fiction (F. Pohl and I. Asimov), thrillers, not a lot into romance novels. Like to read in the original language, the first english book was by Wilkie Collins. Yes yes, also some books are around, just in case. Sudoku fan!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A sunset from a boat in the Pacific Ocean, a road trip from Denver to San Diego in one day, a sea turtle bumping into me in Hawaii, a total solar eclipse in the Pinnacle desert, sleeping in a hut on a tree in South Africa, eating honey with swimming ants, getting up in the morning and see the snow, seeing that I can still change...
Things that I am still waiting to experience...
Teach, Learn, Share
Geology and geochemistry (if anybody could ever be interested in these!), tarots and i-ching, guitar, salsa, fimo, tango... Now, renewed passion for photography!
Would love to finally improve my german (for obvious reasons).
Love to share my home made pasta and tiramisu', Zurich, and an evening dancing... and a morning capuccino!
I am basically open to everything. Pool, table soccer (you know what I mean, right?) and burraco (card game) are also a cool way to spend time together!
