Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy my time at UC Santa Barbara
ABOUT ME
I love meeting new people. That is also why I, in Norway, live in the world's largest student collective: More than 100 students share the same living room and kitchen. Sharing experiences with other people makes me happy.
PHILOSOPHY
I think it is important to do what you love and love what you do. To work hard when you work, and have fun when you don't. "Every man dies. Not every man really lives".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a student living in a narrow student housing, which makes it difficult to host guests coming to Norway. But I hope to bring a little bit of Norway to the homes I visit when travelling

I don't have any experiences yet, but I look forward to the first ones.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I mostly enjoy thrillers and dramas. My favourite movies include "Mr. Nobody", "Memento" and "Into the Wild". If you are interested in seeing my favourites, feel free to visit my profile on iCheckMovies.com: http://www.icheckmovies.com/profiles/oyvindo/
Music: I listen to indie/alternative rock music, electronic music and a little bit of everything else. Muse is my favourite band. For more of my music taste, see my profile on Last.fm: http://www.last.fm/user/Oyvindo93
Books: I don't read too often, but I recently read "Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World" by Haruki Murakami. I can highly recommend it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Summer internship in Tokyo, Japan. I fell in love with the culture, and I'm currently learning Japanese. I hope to go back next year.
Teach, Learn, Share
Widening my cooking skills would be neat. My favorite cuisines are Thai, Japanese and Chinese.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can hopefully teach you a little about: Playing the piano, photography and speaking Norwegian. I can also teach a couple of completely useless skills, as for instance unicycling or riding a ripstick.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey
