About Me

!!!!
Hey there! Before you hit me up, take a quick peek at my profile, okay? If your message is just "Hi," it might not catch my attention. I get it, Berlin's a tough nut to crack when it comes to finding a spot, but remember, my place isn't a hotel. Let's keep it friendly and personal. So, please, give my profile a read – it's the first step to making everything smoother.
!!!!

Now, let me introduce you to Alisen, a guy who burst into the world in Istanbul a little earlier than planned. His name, Alişen, is like a magical blend of his mom and granddad's names. Pretty cool, right? As a kid, he was a real bundle of energy, and people couldn't resist his sweetness. Sitting still wasn't his thing; he was always on the move. His favourites were swimming, shooting hoops, and watching the theatre.

As the years rolled on, he thought he was growing up, but that inner child of his refused to budge. Routine? Nah, not his style. When life started feeling too ordinary, he'd sprinkle in some excitement and try out new stuff. Adapting to change was a breeze, and he was pretty much always sporting a grin. The secret to his boundless energy? Well, that's a mystery for another day. For now, just try to keep up with his zest for life.

Nature was like his secret hideaway. He could wander solo in the great outdoors for hours, finding peace in every step. Labeling things? Nah, not his thing either. He was all about deep chats and philosophy, and he could talk your ear off for hours. He believed in the magic of small changes, setting off a domino effect of awesomeness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I embark on my journeys, I often find myself surrounded by fellow adventurers just like me. However, I've never been one to thrive in the typical touristy scenes – they all tend to blur into one indistinguishable collage of souvenir shops and crowded attractions. It's like trying to find the needle in the haystack when you're in search of authentic local experiences. So, I decided to rewrite the script, realizing that the true maestros of a city are the ones who call it home.

It's the locals who unlock the city's hidden treasures and breathe life into its stories. When I have the privilege of playing the host in my own city, it's like rediscovering its hidden gems through the eyes of a first-time visitor.

You see, every person we encounter on our life's journey is like a brushstroke on our canvas, adding unique colors and textures to the masterpiece of our existence. Thanks to this platform, I've crossed paths with extraordinary individuals who were like rare gems hidden in the sands of time. They've sprinkled stardust on my adventures and added chapters to my story that I could never have penned alone.

Interests

Since I was a child, I've had a profound passion for crafting poems and essays. I even ventured into the world of publishing when I launched a magazine back in middle school. To me, every word I've penned is like a magician's spell, conjuring up unique realms within the imagination. Each poem and story I've woven has birthed its own world, and these realms continue to thrive, taking on lives of their own.

For many years, I pursued a professional basketball career with all the heart and soul in me. Sadly, a wrist injury forced me to step away from the court, and, believe it or not, one audacious doctor even dared to suggest I was feigning it! Well, hats off to that doctor, a real Sherlock Holmes!

My fascination with languages is an ever-burning flame. Currently, I'm on a thrilling journey to master Spanish. Learning a language is like opening a gateway to authentic human connection. When we delve into a new language and achieve fluency, it's like birthing a fresh persona, complete with its own unique shades and hues.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I'm a bit of a chameleon. I don't have a particular genre that I favor; instead, I let my mood dictate the soundtrack of the moment. Since my days in Berlin, I've been drawn into the captivating world of techno music.

Movies are another one of my passions, especially science fiction films and those that leave me breathless with surprise. I prefer movies that keep me guessing until the very end, rather than ones where I can predict the outcome. Picking a favorite movie is like choosing a single star from the night sky, but here are a few that have left a lasting impression on me:

"The Life of David Gale"
"My Tomorrow Your Yesterday"
"Captain Fantastic"
"Gattaca"

Books are my intellectual playground, and I have a soft spot for philosophy and science. When I delve into a subject that piques my interest, I immerse myself in books within that field. However, my curiosity knows no bounds, and I can't confine myself to a single area of study because the universe of knowledge is just too vast to limit myself to one corner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being born is where it all begins,
From baby cries to speaking, life wins.

Crawling, then walking, we learn the way,
Laughter and meals, brighten every day.

Growing up, thoughts start to bloom,
Enjoying life's smells, in every room.

Exploring life's depths, near and far,
Traveling through time, like a shining star.

Life's story unfolds, day by day,
From birth to now, along the way.
