About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get to know as much of the world and it's people as possible.
ABOUT ME
I moved to Gothenburg in january 2008 to study. Today this city has it's place in my heart. I live in a part of the city called Kortedala and is working as pre-school teacher. When I'm not working I like to express myself though music and art. I like going to museums, theatre, movies, to jam or just to experience new cultures and people. One of the most important things for me is to surround myself with people that are openminded, humble and loving towards their next.I am open minded and really love to find new ways of living. I listen before I speak, and sometimes my answers to questions take time. Cause I rather thing through my answer than give answers without any meaning.Fun facts about me:1. I have to count to five in german when I pour something up in a cup or glass.2. I am really scared of balloons!!!3. I can make fire with two sticks
PHILOSOPHY
I think that meeting a new person is like making an investment in your own life. By gathering experience from others you can make your own life richer.
Therefore, by offering someone a place to stay you can make life richer for both you and the visitor.
If everyone had a couch/bed/meal/friendship to offer, war would be history.
What you give, you'll get. What you want, you give.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host, and surf.I just moved to a new apartment so I can't host at the moment. I want to get comfortable in my home first. But I can meet up for a glass or two or maybe we could just hang out!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I only have lovely experiences with couchsurfing. You get to know the cities in a different way and you always meet good, intelligent and interesting people.
The best thing with couchsurfing is that it's not only a "get somewhere to sleep"-community but I look at it as a way towards peace among people of the world.
To surf a couch doesn't just give you a place to stay and a way to get to know the city you are in, it also changes you as a person in a very positive way. You really see that the human core always is good and friendly.
Interests
Learning to play folk music from all parts of the world, learning new instruments, meeting people talking about the universe and it's mysteries, having a ball, fooling around, creating artworks.
Language, history, politics, life mysteries, traveling, adventure!
And the biggest interest of them all: LIVING!
I am also a amateur radio operator with the callsign SM6YZC.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite movies: Jason & The argonauts (1963), Into The Wild, Elling.Usually I don't watch movies, I don't have the patience. And I don't own a TV.I like all kinds of different music and I play a lot of instruments myself and love all different kinds of folk music. I play: mandolin, flutes, guitar etc. So let's have a jam session!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have found that life is amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Spring 2008 I took a course in History at the university, so if you are interested in history I think we can have many interesting conversations.
Other things I can teach you:
To play guitar, mandolin and some tin-whistle.
If you're visiting Gothenburg I would love to learn some folktunes from your country! And if you're irish, please teach me some tin-whistle technique!
