About Me
Hey everybody! Quick reminder: I’m not here for flirting or finding a partner. Don’t message me if your aim is so!!
I was born in the capital, Ankara. I currently live in Istanbul. I'd love to call myself as a traveler but I still feel too inexperienced for this title and hope to discover more places soon. Thus, I'd describe myself as a student. This is the main thing I'm doing in the major part of my life^^
In my free time, I do yoga, pilates, scuba diving, swimming, fitness, and whatever sport I'm capable of doing.. I love them all. If I am not talented enough, then I'm a good spectator..
I have moods (as any person). I'm sometimes calm and prefer having my personal place. Sometimes, I have unstoppable energy inside me which encourages me to get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself with people, places, languages, and activities with which I'm not familiar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love learning new languages, meeting new people, and talking about cultures, backgrounds, stereotypes, differences, and common points... It helps me perceive the world and get rid of my bias. That's also how I discover myself, what I like, what I don't like...
I've been always a sociable person so never had problems with meeting new people randomly on the street, on the bus, in a museum or restaurant. But it's always easier to communicate when the person in front of me is also ready for (and open to) an enriching conversation with a stranger...
Also, I appreciate discovering the cities following the suggestions of local people as the cities are bigger and more beautiful in real than they seem on tourism blogs:)
These are two reasons why I'm online on Couchsurfing...
Interests
- sport
Music, Movies, and Books
Les Jeux Sont Faits- Sartre
White Nights- Dostoyevski
My fav music always changes. They all make me remember of sb or somewhere. So when I miss the place or person, then the song becomes my favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While traveling in France, I got all my baggage stolen 3 years ago. I kept the voyage for one month without any extra pieces of clothes and a limited amount of money... That taught me to be quite adaptable to conditions and things sometimes go differently than we plan.
Teach, Learn, Share
-I can teach Turkish language, traditional food (although I'm not a good cook) and how to make Turkish coffee.
-I love to listen what other think about Turkey and Turkish people. This a funny way of self-observation for me.
-I wanna improve my English and French.
- I like hearing old city stories, legends from the locals^^
