CURRENT MISSION

Learning how to feel fully, not suppressing the consciousness of feelings. This through Vipassana-meditation principally. Well, the old "saving the world" by greening social theories remains my rather permanent mission, even though I don't take it that literally anymore. I also want to lighten up my life, feel light as a feather.

ABOUT ME

I am from Northern Finland where I spend my first 19 years. The second 19 years of my life I have been living in France, Norway, Switzerland, China and Brazil and have been married, employed and unemployed, studied interesting issues both in the inside and outside worlds. I am a critical, open minded and interdisciplinary scholar looking for deep and conscious encounters with different people.

PHILOSOPHY

Gotta be more - gotta be me. This is my process, finding myself through meditation and developing whatever I am to a positive direction. This all not only for me, but for others, for the planet and for better societies.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Now i'm only surfing. As a token of gratitude, I am eager to teach some insight meditation (therawada) or offer some (shiatsu or other) massage. I have had a rather nomadic life in my recent years, so I cannot offer any couch at the moment, but when I have my own place, I am looking forward to receiving surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spend one night in New York in Steven Syrek's place in 2015. Then in 2016, I spend four nights at Chris' Silkhouse in Japan and Maika's place near to Fuji-san. My latest couchsurfing experience was later in 2016 in Vienna at Kathalena's urban place. Awesome experiences. All so different. All so unique. Thank you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nature. So many amazing things I've done within it. Trekking, diving, swimming in waterfalls, looking the stars, ...

This winter - 2016-2017 - I've found an amazing stuff to do in the Finnish winter: 'avanto'. That is, to swim in a man-made hole in the ice in a lake, sea or a river! I've been swimming nearly every day in 'avanto' since the December. Amazing, really! No need for sauna, because after the icy bath you really feel the rush of blood and warmth all over you body...
