About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work and save to travel. Then work, save and travel some more.

ABOUT ME

Easy going guy who's travelled a little... but enjoys hearing the tales of people who've travelled a lot more.

PHILOSOPHY

Live while you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was on the receiving end of some amazing hospitality overseas, so now it's time to pay it forward.

I'm only free on weekends, but if I'm off to the beach or going for a drive around Far North Queensland you're more than welcome to tag along! Just make sure you bring swimmers and plenty of interesting conversation. If you've got a good singing voice you can have the front seat - because I don't have a CD player in my crappy car :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed through Asia, Europe and America - it's the best way to travel! I love getting to 'live' another culture for a short time, rather than just observe as a tourist.

Interests

Everything and nothing in particular. I'll give anything a go. I like the outdoors, i enjoy good conversations and I LOVE food. I love food almost as much as I love wine.

Music, Movies, and Books

I see questions like this as pointless, everyone has their own preferences and for their own good reasons. I don't think people are defined by whether they prefer Hemingway to Dickens or Tchaikovsky to Carly Rae Jepsen.

That being said, we can't be friends unless you like the 'Cat Empire' and you've watched 'Team America World Police'.

NB: I'm prone to hypocrisy! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've survived a mini tsunami in Vanuatu, a motorbike accident in Vietnam, a black ski run in the Swiss Alps, Istanbul's Grand Bazaar and being chased by cops through New York's subway... I'm hoping I don't get into too much trouble on this trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work too much, I've got nothing: I don't play an instrument, I can't sing and I'm a lousy cook. Maybe you can teach me?

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Fiji, France, Germany, Guam, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vanuatu, Viet Nam
