ABOUT ME

I'm a punk rocker and a vegan. Music and food are the two things that can make the world a better place. -And a good drink, of course... Well, the world is not such a bad place, even some humans can make it look like it would be. I don't buy that! I just love to have fun. The sense of humor is a feature I respect about people I meet. Spending a day with a good company, a few beers, good food and good songs is just what I try to achieve in my life whenever I have the chance. Sounds good, doesn't it?

PHILOSOPHY

Be good or be fool. Any way you do it, enjoy and make people feel good around you. Murphy's law will face you anyway, so don't mind. There will be another day. Or if not, there is nothing you can do for it today. So, maybe it's time for a drink or a few...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have spent several nights in couches. I've had many friends staying at my place. I've just found this CouchSurfing community so I hope it will make the world a little bit easier and cheaper.

If you already have a place to stay, I'm often ready for a drink or cup of tea or espresso. I can show you the restaurants where you can find vegetarian food and bars for live music.

To make my life more easier, I have to say I don't have much interest for professional sports, politics, meat eating and religions.. So, if you are in to those values, it's okay. I'm happy for you if you have a thing that makes you feel good.

Musicians: Our band have a rehersal studio also quite near to the center of Helsinki, in Herttoniemi. There will be other bands playing as well, but if you are in need, we could try to organize some time for you to play, jam, rehearse or maybe record something.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of the nights I've spend in couches have been good. I am a light sleeper so I usually just listen to my headphones, read a book, watch a movie on a laptop or simply rest my eyes while everyone else are snoring. And when the night comes when I finally fall asleep, it feels so good that I just want to wake up and shout it out loud: "I'm asleep, can't wait until the morning!!!"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once travelling alone in Thailand I found myself having a drink in a cosy reggae bar. The house band started to play some reggae hits and such. The drummer was a Jack Sparrow look alike novelty drummer. He kept up a nice and humorous atmosphere, but he just couldn't keep the beat. In the end of the show I kindly asked, if I could come and play drums sometime. Jack was pleased to have more time to hang around in the bar so he kindly said: "of course!"

So I went there next evening and got to jam with the band for two hours! I'm not a drummer, but my simple skills were good enough for the evening. We had good time and it was a good reminder that sometimes you just have to jump in to something you are not so good at. Failure is not worse than not trying.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been working for t.v. since 1999. I'm a director and director of photography depending on the production.

Now I'm trying to find contacts with a photography scene, in wich I haven't worked yet as a professional.

I'm always ready to share knowledge and learn more in this field.

What comes to music, I'm not superior in playing, but jamming is fun and it's always nice to learn and teach something about playing some instrument.

I've been trying to learn how to bake rolls, but somehow I haven't succeed too often... Anything that is related with cooking will take all of my attention.
