Overview
About Me
A software developer currently in Cebu City, raised in Cagayan de Oro, born in Canberra, Australia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Aside from potentially saving on accomodation expenses when I travel, I want to meet people from different cities and backgrounds and engage in cultural exchanges... I believe it's these experiences that will make me smarter and wiser.
Interests
Food is on the top of my list! In particular, local cuisine... It's the culinary experience I want to try in any travel. I believe food is the soul of any culture.
I'm definitely more of a city boy. I feel so much more comfortable in an urban setting -- with buildings, trains, highways and bridges -- than in a jungle, mountain or farmland.
I love to learn different languages; I'm very fascinated in how languages evolved and developed, and I like to look for those little parts which are similar in different languages.
I'm a Redditor! If you're in Reddit too, we can share inside-jokes and memes.
I like watching musicals and theater. I also enjoy dancing and other performing arts. I love to dance myself! I'm not good at it though, heheh
Music, Movies, and Books
[Music]
I just listen to and enjoy any music on the radio and Spotify, mostly top hits and some EDM. But artists who've had a lasting impact on me are: Imogen Heap, Bjork, The Corrs, Kanye West, Erasure, and Lady Gaga.
[Movies]
I'm really picky with my movies; I can easily spot tropes and cliches, and too much of those can really ruin a cinema experience.
My favorites: The Matrix trilogy, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Christopher Nolan films (especially Inception, Interstellar, The Prestige), Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli films (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, etc.), Disney Classic films, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Frozen.
[Books]
I'm an avid Harry Potter fan. Nothing beats JK Rowling, in my opinion.
I like to read Haruki Murakami, as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
