Hello everyone! It is Ozzy from Berlin!

***My current goal: A big round trip from Crete, to Italy and Balkans from 19th of July to mid-September! ***
In Crete I will participate a music camp up in the mountains. That means, my instrument will be an inalienable part of my journey :) Then I will go to Italy, and discover its back-streets, with an unsure schedule. I am open for suggestions where to visit, what to eat, where to chill! Then I will come down through Balkans back to Greece (ugh, I just love this country, what can I say?) :)

The couch surfing journey of Summer 2023:
I travelled with my instrument in Spain and Portugal the whole month in August 2023: I have been to Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Salamanca and moving onwards with Lisbon, Porto and from Porto the Camino up until Vigo! Then I explored the beautiful Andalusia, experiencing the heat wave of Seville, wandering in the streets of Cordoba and finding a refuge for my soul in the dream of Granada. The beauty of the Joaquin Sorolla's paintings lead me to his biggest source of inspiration, the coasts of Valencia.

I am a culture enthusiast, historian, musician, language nerd who feels nurtured by understanding the variety of human conditions.

If you like nice stories and a very exotic music, as well as very daring dive to middle eastern culture, with deep discussions, I would be more than happy to have some time together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel for rather discovering myself. And I truly believe one achieves that the best by having close connection with the people, sharing blissful moments, narrating some good stories. And I have recently realized, the ones who remember the most details from your life, are the ones who tell their stories often. So, I want to have a joyful life with a lot of amazing moments, that pierce through my everyday, monotone, mundane tasks, causing me to space out with a smile on my face, until I sigh deeply with a warm feeling in my heart.

There are ways of living, as many as the number of humans living on earth. I am coming to offer you one, in exchange to listening to yours.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge Son Lux fan. Coincidentally, Everything Everywhere All at Once is also my favourite movie since I watched it. Currently I am interested in reading some anti-colonialist books, such as "Master's Tools Will Never Dismantle the Master's House" from Audre Lorde that I am reading.

I am a musician playing sufi music and folk music with Ney flute. I can share some insights about the Greek, Turkish, Arab and Iranian music. Moreover I am language nerd and I would love to help with the languages I feel confident with.
