About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning the philosophies of the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm a Ph.D student at Technical University Berlin.
My working topic is statistical physics of particles on a special surface. I've made my diploma in cosmology and general theory of relativity. I also worked at a particle accelerator.

One of my main interests is the philosophy.
As well the Asian philosophies as the European ones.
From this you come naturally to the history of the different peoples of the world. Because everything belongs to everything ;-)

There are many sharp contrasts in the world e.g. between European idealistic and US-American pragmatic thinking or Western rational and Eastern holistic thinking.

I like to learn to think in the perspective of all these worlds.

I will add some more text here with time.
I need about 1h of thinking to put one more line in here. So for a full profile i may need a few months. ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many movies , especially of course the sci-fi genre.
I can only highlight here some movies, but the list is not even close to complete :
Everything from Stanley Kubrik (2001 , Full Metall Jacket, Clockwork Orange , .....)
Apocalypse Now,
Easy Rider ,
Start Trek and Star Wars , of course
Children of Men
300 , Watchmen
Ghost in the Shell

Good music comes in different clothes. So the particular style is not so important. By now I like for going out and dancing reggae, socca and in general black music most.

Books are a difficult topic . There are so many of them, so thats impossible to even know all their names.
I like to read the old German and Greek philosophers.
But I also read fun stuff like the diskworld novels by Terry Pratchett.
