O mnie

CURRENT MISSION

Finish Uni.

ABOUT ME

21 years young man who was born in a small Bulgarian town, usually lives in Ruse, Bulgaria, and currently lives and studies in Glasgow, UK. I've also lived in Shumen, Bulgaria, and have spent enough time (more than a year in total) in cities such as Sofia, Varna and Bucharest without actually living there.

I study Psychology/English Language at Glasgow Uni and occasionally travel in the UK between September and May.

Also, between Mid December - Mid January and Late March - Late April, I am back home in Ruse.

I spend summers in my home in Bulgaria between travels. I usually don't use CouchSurfing as a surfer, but wouldn't mind to.

I am open-minded and tolerant towards the others, though I have quite a cheesy nature, and am quite hard to live with for a longer period of time (I enjoy loud music, I have specific preferences for food, and I do not enjoy sharing workloads - I prefer to do everything rather than feeling forced to do parts of the whole).

Photographers are especially welcomed, as this is one of the things I enjoy mostly. I am also part of the GU PhotoSociety, and was the featured photographer for the first issue of their zine (http://www.c41zine.co.uk/).

Also especially welcomed are Eastern Europeans - not that I am intolerant towards other nationalities and cultures, it is just the part of the world that fascinates me mostly.

PHILOSOPHY

One of the things you might have problems with:

I am a strong atheist and oppose religion. That said, I don't mind religious people staying at my place (I oppose religion, I do not hate religious people and I am not an intolerant prick). There is only one condition - on no grounds should somebody ask me to change anything about the way I live my everyday life during his stay. It has happened before, and this is something I strongly dislike and oppose. If you have problems with me eating meat, having a poster of Charles Darwin, or having "blasphemous" literature, I might not be your best host.

If you can live through seeing books by Douglas Adams and Christopher Hitchens, you are welcomed.

Also, I highly value freedom and I am libertarian, so you might want to avoid discussing politics with me if you get easily offended on those topics. Though I enjoy arguing and passionate discussion. :)

Just made an IMDB profile, but it's still quite empty.

I'll just say I love Cohen brothers, David Lynch, especially Twin Peaks,

and that I cry to PJ's "Lord of the Rings" (though I love Bakshi's version as well).

I ran away from my parents when I was 9. And I didn't go to a friend's place 5 minutes away - I took a bus, and travelled 130 kms. Not that I had a REAL problem with them, I guess I was just a little punk bastard. But I'm happy that this has happened, and it has shaped me as the person I am.

Also, I went to see Nasum on their Farewell tour. I know, we're speaking about a gig here, but it is rare that an experience like this is so strong. Nasum's music is one of the most precious things for me, and getting the chance to see the band years after its frontman's death brought tears in my eyes. And I'm being serious.

I guess real men cry to grindcore. :D
