ABOUT ME
Gosh ... Its hard to say stuff about myself.
Passionate is a word I'd like to use to describe myself. Creative would be another adjective that comes to mind.
Yes...Creatively passionate...or maybe ... passionately creative... either way works !!
I am dynamic, friendly, I love meeting new people, making new friends.
Professionally I am a Computer Engineering and I work at Lexis Nexis as a Data Scientist. However my true passion lies in film and entrepreneurship.
I am currently developing a film distribution platform for independent cinema, which will allow viewers to watch well made, intelligent films from all over the world, and directly engage with the filmmakers they like and support them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My startup forces me to travel a lot in search of good films/filmmakers.
Paying for a hotel is not only expensive but extremely lonely and boring.
Meeting new people, in new places, especially in countries where I don't speak the native language is far more exciting!
Interests
I love anything creative. From the innovative usage of light in a movie to the vissicitudes of harmonies in a piece of music, anything that shines out in a creative spirit immediately grabs my attention.
This also includes food (am a big foodie), art, animation.
Oh and I am also a computer engineer so true to my geeky/nerdy side I read comics and love videogames.
I am also an amateur film producer, director, writer, photographer; and I am working towards leveling up from amateur to pro.
I also was the lead vocalist of my recently disbanded band. (Interesting note: I can play 5 chords on the guitar but I can probably make 20 good songs from them)

Music, Movies, and Books
Nope. I refuse favoritism in this case. There are way too many to read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am unable to objectively pick and choose two or three moments from my life. Because there is this one incident that is by far the most amazing one of my life.
In my senior year of college (majoring in Computer Engineering) I met with an accident that shattered both my eyeballs. At the time I had no idea if I would ever be able to see again. The doctors were not sure. I spent about 2 months trying to accept the fact that I was now blind. That time spent in coping with the 'darkness' is one of the most amazing moments of my life.
What some people would call a traumatic experience, I call a wonderful one. My mind was my window. In the darkness I still could create music, narrate stories, string a three chord song together. Yes there were many things I thought I would not be able to do, but they did not matter. It was a surreal experience that made me realize that no matter what happened I would still be me.
2 months later, the vision in my right eye returned and although I am sensitive to bright light (hence the dark glasses in my profile pic), life has indeed been beautiful ever since.
