ABOUT ME
"Live life by experiences, not success"
I know that sounds oxymoronic, of course success is an experience as well, but I have learned the most in my life from the relationships I have made, waterfalls I have jumped in, seas I have dived and hopefully lives I have touched in some way or the other. These experiences have been possible only due to my aspiration for success of course. I like to try everything at least once; I am drawn to the newness of experiences even as I yearn for stability from time to time. This delicate unreachable balance is what drew me to Couchsurfing.
My first trip abroad was to Singapore when I turned 17 and that began a journey all over South East Asia, East and South Asia. After a brief stint in the corporate world, I quit to travel India/Nepal/Bhutan for 6 months that took me from remote villages, beautiful beaches, inspiring people to the highest reaches of the world (Everest Base Camp and Island Peak, 6189m, well still a long way away!)
A year in the Young India Fellowship got me keen to know all about economics, International diplomacy, painting, Shakespeare and most of all human behaviour and social psychology. While my hobby is being eternally intrigued by the working of the brain that can contemplate infinity and contemplate itself contemplating, I currently work as the Deputy Director for International Recovery at All hands. We are a post-disaster, humanitarian response organization and I oversee our Nepal and Philippines projects.
Too profound?
PHILOSOPHY
"Because I can"
"It's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves"
"Shit Happens, Get Used to IT"
"What we do in life, echoes in eternity"
"Why no, when you can say YES!"

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to laugh even in the lowest of times. I can teach how to be more awesome than you could possibly ever be.. :P
Besides, I can teach you how to play basic violin, cycling, walking, running, cooking Indian food, sleeping, Indian languages, some yoga (though I am not that good at it). I can also share with you some hiking/mountaineering tips, diving tips/stories.
You can teach me anything, a new language, dance, moonwalk?
