About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My immediate mission is to travel as much as possible. I love experiencing environments and people completely foreign to me. I speak enough French that I want to get to know the people & culture better.

ABOUT ME

I am 23, and have been living in Chicago, Illinois for almost three years. I am from Mexico and came to the US for college. I love the size and the energy of this enormous city, but I have also lived in much smaller communities. I definitely prefer cities.

I ride my bike everywhere I can. I like trying to teach myself new things often. I am very interested in teaching myself French. I want to travel in places where I can practice it and get to know people. I am looking forward to getting to know new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never gone couchsurfing before, or hosted anybody. But my friends have and I've gotten to know some of their guests. Mostly, it was people doing long tours of the US. Y'all are awesome.

Interests

Biking, cooking. I love DIY art projects and death metal & trip hop. I am trying to pick up parkour, which is awesome but difficult. Whenever I see a body of water my first instinct is to jump in to swim but then the weather here in Chicago makes the water so cold that the pain isn't worth it.
I love beer! Chicago is awesome for beer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have experience as a language tutor, and I can teach you Spanish or English. I've learned how to cook some Mexican, American and indian foods, which I am more than happy to teach/make for you.

I worked for a few months in a Brazilian restaurant as a dishwasher. Consequently I can clean industrial amounts of dishes in minutes.

I work and live in Chicago's immigrant community, so I can tell you a lot about different aspects of America that I never even knew existed when I lived in Mexico.
