Chi sono
Current Mission:
(I'd like friends all over this country. I'd like friends in other countries too.)
New here: recently came across Nomadic Matt's book on traveling the world and thought I'd see if it's really as fun and welcoming as he makes it sound ..! To that end - I'm on my way to visit family in upstate NY. Could do it as a single-day drive, but it would be great to detour into a few cities and meet more experienced travelers on the way.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
In my early 20's I did a bit of traveling. My favorite trip involved playing Capoiera in Brazil. I remember feeling joyful, optimistic, connected and free.
Then I got caught-up in building a career, paying off loans, and generally acting like some kind of responsible adult. It's been interesting, but I could stand a road trip.
I want to travel again. I bet there are a few folks on here who can relate.

Lately I find Octavia Butler weirdly compelling but also slightly irritating.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I'm not sure I've done anything "amazing." However:
Working at ThinkGeek was kind of cool.
There is a Brazilian JuJitsu school directly next door to a dance studio with some great folks near Broad and Federal in Philly.
Philadelphia Improv Theatre is a damn good time if you can afford the classes. Same with Washington Improv Theatre in DC.
Insegna, impara, condividi
I'm most competent with putting Linux to work on the Internet. If for some reason that's interesting, feel free to bring it up.
Is sharing photography a thing anymore?
Very, very basic stuff I've picked up in JuJitsu (more at an amusing amateur than badass master level).
Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
I'm new here and not sure what makes sense. I'm happy to pick up groceries or whatever. What do I trade for a clue?
