ABOUT ME
Love animals, food, books, traveling, learning things (not necessarily in this order). I'm a good cook and a good chat, my husband's funny and generous and we're generally considered both good hosts and good guests.
We're both strict atheists and strongly anti-religious, so although I certainly won't dislike you for being religious, I'd advise you not to get me started on this subject. For both our sakes.
PHILOSOPHY
Please, please, PLEASE be clean and smell nice. Please.
And my tip to American guests in particular: leaving the lights on all around the house is so inconsiderate.
TURN THE LIGHTS OFF! SHORTER SHOWERS! PLEASE!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Haven't slept anywhere so far but we've already hosted a bunch of interesting people and it's always been a great experience. Plus I've had the chance to try Polish candy, Slovenian wine, Czech wafers and so on :)
Interests
Movies, animals, food, traveling, books, books and more books. My husband's into shopping. Really!

Music, Movies, and Books
Live, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, U2, Coldplay, The Offspring, Green Day. No Italian music please. Marisa Monte. Some classical.
We're frequent moviegoers who'll watch practically anything and then complain that most films are crappy.
LotR fan. Love sci-fi and fantasy, travel books, history, Nick Hornby, Chuck Palahniuk, Roald Dahl and more. A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y in love with Richard Dawkins.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen Perito Moreno Glaciers in Patagonia, and that was amazing alright. I raised an amazing dog. I somehow managed to read almost 70 books in 2006, and no, it wasn't a sabbatical. I met my husband because he gave me a ride to the youth hostel. I once saw an elephant walking by the gate of the place where I work (I swear); there was a circus in town. I've had a baby!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about food because I love eating, and, heck, I live in Italy and these guys know pretty much all there is to know about eating. Plus I'm a good observer and a very curious person, so after 15 years living here I'm still asking people questions about life in Italy, all the time. My husband can spot a bad paint job on a car door from a mile away and he always falls asleep in the movies, and he's an organization freak. We're both curious about just anything (in my particular case, as long as it doesn't involve numbers of any kind or shape - I couldn't make a simple calculation or remember a date to save my life).
