CURRENT MISSION

To travel through the US (eventually the world) and complete a visual portfolio of good memories and great people with drawings and writings of the sort.

Currently:
-Room for 4 more surfers (and plenty of storage/room for medium pet) in comfortable 92 chevy G20 "camper" van. Gas $ is always appreciated!!

ABOUT ME

WELCOME BACK FELLOW SURFERS!!
I recently returned from a nearly year long road trip just traveling and exploring the West and Central United States. I've seem some beautiful wonders (Grand Canyon, Zion, Joshua Tree, Salvation Mountain to name a few) and met even more beautiful people (Dave & Robin, Victoria, Shawn & Justine, Aaron, Matt, Starlee, Jessica, Nick & your lovely grandma, and so MANY more)!!

Ready for the kicker? I'm doing it again! New routes, new destinations (but I wouldn't mind revisiting places I've been), and looking forward to making new friends along the way. Where I'll go? I'm looking into it. *Now accepting ideas!*

Now... back to the specs
I personally get along with EVERYBODY! I follow the "live-and-let-live" philosophy. I'm all about making the best of today and having a good time along the way. I fancy a night out, and as long as I have a place to slumber, I like to have a good time! Treat life like a candle flame, right?! (Dance a little before ya die)

I did 3 years of time (in college of course =P) and really just looking to go have a good adventure. My sense of humor is always out there and I love making new friends!

I went to school for Life Art, but I've taken many independent courses. Ranging from Spiritual Healing, to Anthropology, Human Logic/Psych, and Visual Communications (Filming/editing). I absolutely love learning new things!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life is too short to sit down and not explore. Like the story of seeing the same hummingbird everyday outside your window and wondering: "Why my yard, little buddy? You can fly so far and see so many great places yet you stay in my yard. Why?" When in reality, we should be reflecting back and asking ourselves the same question...

It's simple: Live life true and Love unconditionally, and the joy will find you.
I'm not following the pursuit of happiness, I'm following the path of adventure. I'm just bringing happiness with me.
My hearts telling me to start moving and keep at it, leaving behind footprints of good faith.

I'm in the "all of the above" category. I'm traveling to Anywhere, USA and willing to A)Offer rides and places to sleep, B)Provide good company and a safe voyage, and C)I'll also be looking for hosts during my journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some years back (2009-10) I drifted through the California coast for about 13 months. Armed with a backpack and living with kind people I met along the way who felt comfortable having me stay with them. I was remarkably successful making it, selling/trading my art for favors.
This wasn't through CS, but I wish I knew about this site before. I'm seeing now what I missed out on!

Algo increíble que he hecho

When I first got to Venice Beach, California, I got off the bus with NO where to sleep. I figured I'd spend my first night on the beach. It got cold... fast. A "homeless" local was collecting, what he called, his final collections (recyclables) for the evening. He came across me and saw me huddled with my sleeping bag and gear under a lifeguard tower. He told me he had gotten a $50 "donation" earlier that day and offered to get me MY OWN motel room for the evening, welcoming me to the city. That generosity will never be forgotten.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I've lost a lot in my life, including family... I've seen dark days. I cleared my way through the tough times and kept my head high and prevailed. Now I'm on a mission to travel and help anyone/everyone I can.

As an artist, I want to gift people around the world with anything I can. Even if it's a sketch/drawing that captured the moment. Something they can keep as a reminder of a kind traveler.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can offer anything my mind doesn't prevent me from doing. If I stay a night or two, expect me to remain clean, quiet and absolutely respectful. On top of that, I don't mind getting my hands dirty if there's something I can help around the house with. I actually find a nice satisfaction when I get to help others out. Those who are generous enough to accommodate my stay, will also receive a personal custom gift from me.

For the more social host, I have stories on top of stories. My life has been full of thrills. Both heartwarming, and devastating. I'm no Guru or life guide, but I'm told I always leave behind some pretty rememberable footprints.
