ABOUT ME
Hello there! If you are reading this then that means you're looking for a house to stay in! Well, I'm glad to say you've arrived to the right profile because my housemates, Kimberley Susan, and Sophie B Beagle (our pet dog) would be happy to host you on your visit! Kimberley is also on CS who's profile is at https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/252325
Please note, we live in a suburb called Campelltown and is ONE HOUR by train FROM THE AIRPORT.
I'm a guy who works in Sydney City on Mondays to Fridays and enjoys relaxing in my house on the weekend.
Occasionally, we go on day trips doing a wide range of activities which usually involve Sophie B Beagle.
I'm always interested in learning new things and think couch surfing is a great way to learn about places and adventures other people have experienced.
We have a quirky sense of humour so don't be too worried if we appear strange at first - it'll grow on you! We try not to take things too seriously and keep everything light hearted.
I'm easy going and relaxed as long as basic house rules are followed:
Shoes off inside the house;
No food or drinks on the piano please;
Be comfortable with our dog being inside the house;
Lock up procedures to be followed if you leave the house during the day;
No smoking anywhere at all times; and
Don't feed the dog anything, no matter how cute she looks! She seriously doesn’t know when to stop.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't use Couch Surfing as a dating website (which I've sadly seen happen ). I'm genuinely happy to lend anyone my "couch", which is actually a decent sized bed in a spare room with your own bathroom and toilet.
I think couch surfing is a great way to help people out while learning about their experiences and thoughts on the world.
Interests
Playing piano - I'm currently learning how to play the piano so you may have to put up with me playing the same songs on your stay. Sometimes I'll play the same section over and over and over again until it's perfect :)
Music I enjoy listening to include Alternative rock, Jazz and Blues.
Astronomy - I find the idea of limitless space and time compelling and marvel at how the universe operates.
Photography - mostly landscapes - be sure to look at my photo journals when you visit!
Hiking / Trekking / Bush walking / Tramping - whatever you call it I just enjoying being disconnected from the manic City and corporate life so I like to spend time reconnecting with nature whenever possible.
Cooking - I go through phases throughout the seasons, so repeat surfers will never get the same type of dish twice (that is, unless you happen to visit me in the same season, twice). But regardless of what I feel like cooking, it's always nice to sit down to a homely meal.
Reading books - I'm open to any, but I mostly enjoy first person biographies. I usually fall asleep after 2 1/2 pages if it's a boring book. I sleep a lot.
Playing cricket - it's a funny sport invented by the British and played by Commonwealth nations.
Road cycling.
