About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a completely random person who enjoys anything that is out of the ordinary. I love meeting new people and trying new things. My sense of humor is completely out of this world and I will do almost anything in my power to make someone laugh. I enjoy countless hours of just chatting and debating on the subjects of life, politics, travel and anything else you can think of, and love hearing stories about other experience people have had.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to enjoy myself, have fun, and make other people's lives more enjoyable :) I want to see it all, and experience it all, one day at a time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have hosted surfers for 3+ years now and surfed in my own country. I have hopes of being able to surf next time I travel in Europe. My last trip consisted mostly of hotels due to travelling with a larger group, and I find that I missed a lot of the experience I was hoping for as I didn't get to hang out and meet locals.

I would love to hangout with our hosts and get to know them, I am not travelling across Europe to see all the touristy stuff, but am much more interested in learning the culture of the locals, and experiencing what these wonderful cities have to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had a wonderful experience hosting surfers in my home. Have tasted some very wonderful foods, and heard some very interesting stories. This is only the beginning...

I am hoping to take my turn in the near future in meeting locals and travelling the world to see what beauty and sights it has to offer me.

Interests

I have studied Canadian Law & Justice in school and have worked in a management position within retail for most of my life, I have a lot of experience when it comes to business and politics, however I also take a shine to the funner things in life. I have been white water rafting, skiing, para sailing, snowboarding, snow tubing, ice fishing, jet skiing and many other activities that you can think of.

I have hopes of being able to go Sky Diving this summer, although it will take some time to build up the courage to jump out of a perfectly good air plane.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music I listen to almost about anything, I am pretty easy going, I really am big into the top 40, Euro, and Pop scene, but like Rock, Country and other types of music as well.

My favourite TV shows include:
- Big Bang Theory
- Flashpoint
- Smallville
- Two and a Half Men
- The Simpsons
- and much more!

I have actually never completely finished a book, but my goal is to do that this summer as well. I have been told that there are some books out there that just MUST be read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have ever done was para sailing in the Dominican Republic, it was a ton of fun and a really exhilarating experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really love meeting new people and learning about the different cultures that exist around the world. When I visited Paris last summer, I was astonished at how the cultures are so different than what we have in Canada. It was such a beautiful city.

My next travels will be alone, which will enable me to meet new people with much more ease and get to know people from all over the world. I love hearing about different cultures and ways of life and seeing is believing, right?

I have learned a lot already, and hope to see & learn so much more!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share stories about my past experiences, I have done a lot of travelling in the past with the intention on doing much more in the future. Every person I have met has always had a very unique and interesting story.

I can cook a Canadian meal, let you try some of our world famous Maple Syrup and generally just hangout and have a great time/conversation.
