I'm 23 and originally from Altrincham near Manchester. I'm aiming to move to London and am hoping it will be easier for me to find a full time job if I am in the city, and then I can find somewhere permanent to live once I've found work.

I love going to the cinema, theatre and live gigs, and am often out exploring the markets and visiting galleries and museums. I'm always looking to discover new parts of London and meet new amazing people. I am hoping to find an entry level role in arts administration, especially within the film industry, which is my real passion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am hoping to find full time work in London and settle here more permanently, and hope that it will be easier for me to find work, gain work experience and make it to interviews if I am in the city itself. I need somewhere I can stay on a budget, and am happy to move around and meet new people and see new parts of the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fave musicians include Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Tame Impala, Chemical Brothers, David Bowie, New Order, LCD Soundsystem, Crystal Castles, Roisin Murphy, John Grant, Beck, St Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Sufjan Stevens (pretty much anything on BBC Radio 6 Music!)

I love all sorts of movies, but some personal faves are Pulp Fiction, Eternal Sunshine, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet, There Will Be Blood, All About My Mother, The Terminator, Being John Malkovich, Dirty Harry, Dog Day Afternoon, Amelie, The Great Beauty, Holy Motors, Princess Mononoke (I am a pretty big film buff, and try to go to the cinema as often as I can)

I love 20th Century literature, and big high concept fiction - things like Chuck Palahniuk, Jeffrey Eugenides, Haruki Murakami, Kurt Vonnegut and John Wyndham.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took part in the Battle of the Somme memorial project We're Here Because We're Here back in July, and was one of the 80 or so guys who walked around Manchester in full costume embodying the story of a real soldier. It was one of the most amazing and moving things I've done!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I'll provide good company, and I love meeting new people and geting to know them! I'm not much of a cook, but I want to help out and pick up some tips to help get me into it more.
I can talk endlessly about film and TV, so if you ever want to have a movie night, I'd love to see what films you love.
I'll happily do any chores that need doing, it only seems the least I could do for giving me somewhere to stay!
