About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be one of those people who makes everyone smile!
ABOUT ME
I'm an Irish student born and raised in Dublin and living in Berkeley, California over the Summer. Now I'm heading back to Dublin via NYC.
PHILOSOPHY
'Humans cannot save the world, but this is no reason for despair. It does not need saving. Happily, humans will never live in a world of their own making.'
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I am staying with 3 other people in an apartment where the couch is about 4 feet long and usually functions as landfill sight for our junk, so unless you have a sleeping bag and a penchant for hard floorboards or don't mind sharing an extremely cramped single bed with me, I'm going to have to say that I'm participating only as a guest at the moment. But would love to provide more hospitable accommodation as soon as I can!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only two experiences so far, both as a guest, both brilliant:
The first was in Jordan visiting Petra. My friend and I stayed with an amazing guy called Ghazzab in his cave nearby. Him and his brother were so welcoming, had the chats with us long into the night and showed us a slice of Bedouin life - and gave me my first interest in couchsurfing. Did this through a friend's couchsurfing account so sadly I can't claim the reference for this one, but search for a couch near Petra and you'll find Ghazzab no problem!)
The second was on my way from Nablus in Palestine to Tel Aviv. I stayed with Sarah, a lovely French girl who despite her busy working day found the time to go for lunch with me on my last day in Israel. My love of couchsurfing grew exponentially.
Interests
I don't want to use up all my potential couchsurfing conversation material by giving away everything in this profile, now do I :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been to the West Bank. Singularly the most eye-opening experience of my life. I met so many friendly, generous people and learned so much about a way of life very different to the one I'm used to. I would recommend ANYONE to go there - you'll be surprised at the very least.
Teach, Learn, Share
