Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living in the UK and working in Education Technology and as an ESL teacher.
ABOUT ME
To try and succinctly describe someone in a box would imply the person is simple enough to explain. It may sound a little cliché, but there is an element of truth in saying "If you want to know more about me, then talk to me". So I encourage you to do so, and to form your own opinion!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is for living, for experiencing. If you feel like you are not doing something enjoyable in your life, either in your job or in a hobby, then do something about it and change it. Find a different hobby, go traveling, meet someone new, throw yourself into a concert...There's always something going on no matter where you are.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been with Couchsurfing a few years now, mostly in the hosting aspect but also having surfed in Austria, Russia and Finland. Also attended one or two of the larger Couchsurfing events (including an awesome one in Austria).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience of spontaneous CouchSurfing was after I missed my last train home and crashed on a friend's mattress overnight! After that most of them have been fairly spontaneous...In addition, I have also hosted several people in my flat in Bath when I was a university student.
Interests
Music of almost any variety, picking up odd bits of different languages, reading when I have time (mostly articles) and exploring the local nature. I also love shooting the breeze philosophically, I hold some fairly interesting views and always love an exchange of ideas. This last one does not always have to be alcohol-induced ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Hehe, music is a dangerous topic with me, I can talk about it for hours. People never believe me when I say I listen to "everything", but it's true. Metal still remains my main passion, due to its diversity and energy involved, but I also listen to good amounts of hip hop, blues, rock, punk and some classical.
Movies: I haven't seen many, but I am always willing to take recommendations. I like movies that make you think, with a plot aspect or a character portrayal. Memento would be a good example of this. I'm not really one for doing marathons, but if ever you want to watch a movie, just suggest away!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Samaria Gorge, the longest in Europe. Twice. Absolutely stunning views and a real sense of achievement after walking its length. Also lived in Austria for 5 months and Russia for 3 months.
Teach, Learn, Share
Music is a lot like language. Some narrow themselves to just one type, plumbing its depths for all the gems and diamonds that it holds. Others decide to speak multiple genres, discovering such a wide range of music that it can make you feel giddy just imagining how much music has been created over the past few centuries.
Music can unite people far more closely than language. A song can connect people regardless of the lyrics, and there are fewer communication barriers when a CD or vinyl is involved.
