ABOUT ME
I am a creative, textile artist, ethnic dancer and cook that loves to keep learning and meet new people. My knee got replaced two years ago so I can dance again.I love Balkan , Gypsy and Greek dance and music.
I have had many couch surfers and work a ways stay with me... all kind, thoughtful, brilliant and hard working people. My friends think I am very brave but I have faith in my intuition and I know any one that makes such a huge effort to get here has got their act together.
Cooking is something I am happy to do..any time or place ..

you always have to keep moving on..and not dwell on the past. Life is too short. It is important to live in the now and try to find inner peace with oneself. If you can just stop and think of how many people you love or let yourself just feel the smell of rain...if you can look at a child's innocence and have some ahh moments....it's all good....I see more beauty in a drop of water on a leaf than I would ever see in a diamond ring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think if you cannot always travel and see the world you can have to world come to see you. I have guests that give me faith in world. Hope to get to do this myself some day. (and will be in Tucson this month)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had about 14 different couch surfers aged about 19 all the way to 80! stay with me ...also about as many work away guest....I would like to try to couch surfing or work away in Spain, India, ????? some time in the future.
Using technology is a bit difficult for this dinosaur but I will try...... ahhhh....

Interests

I like putting things together...designing and planning events, table set ups for big feasts, delegating people to do things. I like being on the water . I thrive on ethnic gypsy anything....love antiques and old architecture. Sitting and talking till the wee hours is a true pleasure for me. I am a good listener... humor is a must...in my life. Love dirt and gardening.. and animals of course...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

balloon ride in Goreme, Turkey, 2nd degree black belt in karate, had a chid at 45, performed Macedonian dance on national television. had my own shop where I sold my art work. survived and alcoholic husband....fell up the elecalator in Victoria station at busy time. have had rock bands practicing in my basement for over 10 years...have taught teenagers for over 20 years..I have a 2nd degree black belt ...

Teach, Learn, Share

patience and mending....cooking and theater sports...basic karate moves, ethnic dance....design theory,,,how to make stupid sock creatures,,,how to motivate people and make them laugh... cooking..love kids and playing..

What I Can Share with Hosts

taking them to see mountain top views, share meals..etc.... help them find their way around Victoria and beyond...
If I am a traveller I can teach, cooking or sewing.. also ethnic dance... I love kids and creatures... good with people...just invite me to a party where I know no one and I am happy... love greeting and welcoming people... can multi task like a mad woman after teaching 150 kids a day in middle school...
