About Me
I just logged back in after a few years...hoping to reconnect in a meaningful way. My profile needs some work! Bear with me....
I used to call myself a sound engineer, I worked in the music industry for a few years in London and then one day I had a liberating epiphany, put all of my possessions In storage and set off to America with a backpack.
I spent 3 months hitch hiking coast to coast, through the south and up to the north west and at the end of it wasn't ready to return to England so I now reside in Brooklyn, travel when I can, and enjoy life, I work as a jack of various trades.
I love to meet people and hear about their passions and inspirations, travels and dreams. To see new landscapes and cities or to start a new day with no idea what is going to happen by the end of it.
PHILOSOPHY
“Wisdom cannot be imparted. Wisdom that a wise man attempts to impart always sounds like foolishness to someone else ... Knowledge can be communicated, but not wisdom. One can find it, live it, do wonders through it, but one cannot communicate and teach it.” - Hesse
“Live, travel, adventure, bless, and don't be sorry.” - Kerouac
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm mainly looking for hosts and people who can help me see the real side of the places I visit, particularly people with similar interests that would be up for hanging out.
I don't really have a permanent place of residence and usually I move apartments every few months, but when/where I do have a place of my own I'd love to host some people and show the places I love. For now I can participate by showing people around New York or giving advice on places to visit.
Interests
I love being outdoors, especially around water or trees, that's when I'm most at home. I recently started learning to sail. I love that too.
I love to read and I write a little, I listen to a lot of music and also enjoy making it. I like to exercise daily, I love to cook and be with my friends, meet new people etc..
